There never really is an 'end-game' with these sorts of things. Although the engine is all buttoned up and
back in the frame, and it rides well and sounds great (!) I still have a few
things to sort out but will leave them till after the riding season is finished.
One
thing I will be doing is refinishing the tank as the paint is badly
faded relative to the side covers, which as it turns out have already
been repainted at some point in their lives. A very close examination
showns they were originally gold coloured - whether this was done at
the factory or otherwise is unknown, although as the side badges appear
to be original as do the clips holding them. The decal set is available
from Reproduction Decals
, so I'll be ordering that at some point. I have a set of knobs
coming for the side covers which could be useful - the tool kit is
mounted under the left side cover rather than under the seat as on the
GT750's so having a way to easiy get the cover off could be handy ! |  |
